It was in 2005 when I got an honor to be one of the finalist in Chevron Scholarship (at that time the scholarship was named Caltex Scholarship). I was awarded the second place. Truly an amazing experience to be quarantined with all other participants from across the Riau Province. Made new friends and gain new skills. This amazing journey has not ended just after the inauguration ceremony, but continue to give impact to me through out my life.
Chevron Scholarship (or Darmasiswa Chevron Riau) is not an ordinary scholarship. This scholarship targeted bright students in Riau Province to give them opportunities to Higher Education. The Alumni has strong bond toward this scholarship scheme, we keep in touch in the Mailing List and come out with many different ideas to enhance the cooperation with Chevron in order to participate in a better Riau.
This year, the great opportunity for Senior High School Students all over Riau is open again. I really encourage all the young students in Riau to apply. It is really an important step in your education because this scholarship is one package to enhance your university time. Network is one thing we need to build as early as we can.
If you want to apply, click this Link and follow each step. Be confident, be prepared and voila, The stage is yours!

Personal space in a public place…
…this post is originally posted in sync of my Path account. Quite easy. 😀Diagnose with schizophrenia never was and never will be an ending of our precious life. It is indeed just another fact to cope. Better environment for someone with this mental health disorder will help them improve their health and improve our society also.
From time to time many of us have wondered what exactly does someone diagnosed with schizophrenia hear? There is so much information and so many myths around this subject that it is really difficult for somebody who is not a mental health professional to know what exactly is happening in minds of people that are diagnosed with schizophrenia.
To summarize, someone who is diagnosed with schizoprenia could hear different kinds of voices that had to do with:
-persecution (e.g. someone thinks that is being chased by somebody else)
-insults (e.g. someone thinks that people speak really bad or pejoratively about him/her)
-comments (e.g. someone thinks that is being judged badly about something)

It is so wet in this rainy season here. Some of the area in Jakarta is already covered by flood. I hope the flood to drain very soon.
A comment yesterday brightened my gloomy mood affected by the gloomy sky. I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by Kathy from http://kathyclempoetry.wordpress.com (in the comment in my about page). A post is dedicated for the nominations. Thank you for being so kind and let us spread the happiness and the spirit for blogging!

This award is mainly for the newly blog, but even my blog isn’t a new one, I really appreciate this award. I hope the bloggers that I nominate will also feel the joy this award has brought to me.
There are rules associated with the Liebster award:
1. Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
2. You must answer the 10 questions given to you by the nominee before you. (That list is below the nominations.)
3. You must nominate 10 of your favorite blogs with fewer than 200 followers and notify them of their nomination.
4. You must come up with 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
Here are the answers to my 10 questions:
1. When did you start your blog?
It was 7 years ago. 😀 Blogging as my own way to cope with my stormy mood, so basically this blog is my cyber trash bin and I am not taking it seriously back then. Not until I found my passion in blogging as a new way of meeting new friends, finding new happiness and opportunities.
2. What made you do the Zero to Hero challenge?
I join the challenge because I need some motivation to keep my mind in the blogging world. I need some form of commitment to write almost everyday.
3. Do you have any pets?
No, I don’t. Not because I don’t like animal, but because I am very bad at it. I merely watch my own self moreover another living creature.
4. What is your favorite hobby?
It is adventuring! I love to feel an adrenaline rush inside my body. That is why I join Scout Movement in the first place. Now that I am no longer an active member of Scouting, I made my own adventure experience. I go wherever I want whenever I want. 😀
5. What do you do most of the day?
Beside daydreaming or trouble sleeping? umm.. I am eating something, in most time of the day.
6. Do you believe in magic?
YES! What do you think I am doing at Hogwarts?
7. If you could have another life, what would you be?
I guess I want to also be “me”, but with some more improvisation along the way. (if only I knew then what I’ve known now)
8. Why?
Because I am happy as I am but in the same time, as a human, I also like to redo something in my current life.
9. How big is your immediate family?
It’s quite big now, with a step family and my sister’s new little family.
10. What do you like about writing?
We could be anything we want. We could write anything we want. We have to read more in order to write better, and that is truly a challenge I need to improve my view of anything in this world. Cogito ergo sum.

Have you feel loved?
Have you feel special?
Have you feel neglected?
Have you feel disappointed?
Yes. I Know you have. We are all have experienced those feeling.
If you are now in a relationship, do you really feel happy about what your spouse does for you? Are you really satisfied with your relationship?
I am telling you that everything you feel is coming from your own mind.
If your mind tells you to be happy, whatever your spouse has done, even that he/she isn’t live up to your expectation, you will still feel that your spouse is the perfect one for you.
If your mind gives you an itchy day, flowers or kisses from your spouse will never enough to make your day, whatever he/she has done is just gonna make you feel left out.
You see what your mind show to you.
You feel what your mind sense for you.
Your world is really in your own mind.
To mature means to take responsibility for your life, to be on your own. Psychoanalysis fosters the infantile state by considering that the past is responsible for the illness
– Fritz Perls
Psychology is not only about Freud or Freudian, but most of its theories found their roots in Psychoanalysis. One of Freudian that developed other concept of psychotherapy is Fritz Perls. Fritz Perls is a German born Psychotherapist that (after a brief and unsatisfactory encounter with Freud) begin to work on “Gestalt Therapy”. Gestalt Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that relates to the process of human perception and works on a basic concept of the Gestalt approach which highlights more the process (what is taking place) and not the content (what is said about it). The stress is on what is happening, considered and felt right now rather than on what took place, might, could or should happen (definition taken from here).
To Perls, the most important thing to have a healthy mental state is being here and now, we need to gain our awareness of what we are experiencing and doing now. The power is in the present because the past is gone and the future has not yet happening. We cannot live our life if we keep reliving the past or worrying about the future. We need to move on from the past, and if there is something wrong in our past, based on gestalt therapy, we can not solve the problem just by trying to explain what we felt at that time but we have to re-enacting the past into the present. Role playing is often happen in a gestalt therapy so that we could reliving the distress situation and understand what is happening and also what we feel. Problems come from an unfinished business, the feeling that are unexpressed in the past. We might have to relive the feeling and understand it in order to be here and now. Living the moment (in gestalt theory) is much more helpful than just describe it in a detached way.
So, have you been here and now?
This post is a respond for Kak Ama’s
GESTALT PRAYER
“I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it’s beautiful.
If not, it can’t be helped.”
(Fritz Perls, 1969)
Describe your personal style, however you’d like to interpret that — your clothing style, your communication style, your hair style, your eating style, anything.
That is the daily prompt for 8th January and the Zero to Hero challenge has come to the day 7, which is:
create and upload a simple header, or test out a few different backgrounds.
a Simple Header lead to a logo for this blog. Been so long since my last time editing photo for this blog, then today I finally do some editing and voila… the new header is here!
Do you like it?
This is my style. a simple one, but always has black and white color in it, now with some bright color for adding some new element to my journey. For a long time, my theme is always black and white, not only for my blog but for my life. I used to wear black or white clothes most of the time and I also paint my bedroom with those colors.
People say that life is not only about black or white, there are grey areas in many aspects. I couldn’t disagree with that… but for me, grey or other colors have black or white element in them. So whatever the color you choose, you will always be influenced by the black or the white, which one you prefer to befriend is all up to you. Be wise to choose. 🙂

The first impression of this faculty is made back when I have an interview at the admission, in 2005 and it was a very good impression. The interview went well and rather fun, so relax that I already felt very welcomed by them. One of the interviewer turned out to be The Dean of Psychology Faculty. Well done, Sir.
Many interesting experiences I’ve got while I was studying there. It could be because the subject is about human, so I can really relate all the lessons to my self and so applicable in daily basis. Psychology is one unique subject. Being a psychology graduated is another whole world. We can’t just tell someone that we are a psychology graduated without they ask us to “read” them, honestly people… you aren’t a book to read, are you?
Today is the 49th birthday of Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University. This is an age that classified as middle adulthood, which favorable outcome based on Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development is concern for family, society and future generation. I hope this Faculty will keep educating future psychologist and psychology researcher that concern to build a better social world for family, society and future generation. Forever best wishes for the faculty and the future generation!
Above is a video about my University. Feel free to watch it in your spare time.
